Alexandra Savior, indie music’s most in-demand writer and voice.

Not too many people get to say that they’ve co-written music with Alex Turner, but Portland native Alexandra Savior continues to add to her extensive CV.

In 2013, Savior signed with Columbia Records and began writing her first album, Belladonna of Sadness, in 2014 with James Ford and Alex Turner. Belladonna of Sadness can be argued to have heavily influenced Turner’s project with the Arctic Monkeys, Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino. Savior was soon dropped from Columbia Records after her manager quit, leaving Savior with no label and a broken heart.

In 2019, Savior signed a record real with James Mercer’s (The Shins) label, 30th Century Records. She released her sophomore album, The Archer, on January 10th, 2020 to universal acclaim. She is currently composing a third album which is slotted for release later this year.

Her heartbreaking sound brings the pain of falling in and out of love to light. Her melancholy sound mixed with Alex Turner’s writing reminds you that ‘cupid shoots to kill’.

Best listened with a broken heart…and a cigarette.
